Rossetti

This past week's assignments were a bit long and boring. However, when I got to the poem Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti, my jaw dropped. The poems previous to this assignment were wonderful, but once I was done reading it, I was finish; never to be thought of again. However, GM was by far, my favorite and left a great impression on me. It gave so much information about the time and what women had to go through. Women during the 19th century were thought of as dumb human with no real intelligent. Now, in today's age, we can see how ridiculous that theme was and still is. However, it was real during that time. I am glad women in our past gave women of the future a voice and a force to be reckoning with.
